Hello,

Git supports partial staging of hunks/lines of changes made on the same file. Since Pending changes window already has a diff view choosing which pieces of the changes made are staged for the next commit would be an interesting feature.
Comments: While at it, the general UI of staging/checkboxes should be refined and thought more throughly. Right now, staging a file changes its status (but only after manual refresh(?!)) but doesn't check the checkbox. So if I stage some files, then use the checkbox to commit a different set of files, ALL the staged files + checkboxes items get committed. That is all very confusing.

Or the other way around: "A filtered .vcxproj will exclude its project even though it is loaded in the solution".

This is especially problematic when you don't want to have your projects under revision control for example when using CMake or Premake to generate them.

Currently if I right-click on a file in Solution Explorer, I get the Git (branchname) submenu working fine - however, if I right-click in an editor window with the same file open, there's no Git submenu.

This might just be habit since TFS had a source control submenu in the editor context menu, but it would be great to have the Git submenu that's already present in the Solution Explorer context menu to be added in the editor too!

Hi

I saw that your extension also appears on the Atmel Studio Extension List and tried to install it (Atmel Studio 6, Build 1996 - Service Pack 2). It installs without any errors, but I cannot see any functionality in the Solution Explorer. Is there anything else you have to do?

Comments: Hi Once you start reading the installation documentation (and actually follow it) it works :) Sorry for that. This test was done on 2440, I'll try back on 1996 on Monday at the company. Thanks so far.

Commented Issue: VS crashes when accesing TFS work item queries (when GITSCC is enabled) [17814]

I use TFS (Work Items) and GIT (Source Control) in parelell under VS 2012 and when I click on "Work Items" in the Team Explorer VS crashes when GIT is the selected source control plugin.
But Strangely, when I switch temporarily to TFS-SCC I can open the Work Items pane and then even switch back to GIT-SCC and it works fine.
Comments: My "workaround" for now is using the MS Git integration and TFS Web Acces - not nice, but works...

Comments: I have the same issue. I have a few projects that use TFS for source control and some that use GIT. My issues is somewhat worse. Even when I switch the provider back to TFS, I get crashes if I've used the GIT SCC provider.

When using the dark theme, the pending changes tool window still using a light theme that contrasts with the rest of the UI.
Comments: Seems like I was still on 1.0 :) Now just the border around the comments box is the wrong color, but I think I can live with that ;D

Comments: This issue doesn't specify the version of Visual Studio you are using. For Visual Studio 2012, this issue was resolved for the 1.1 release. For Visual Studio 2010, this issue is a duplicate of another issue: http://gitscc.codeplex.com/workitem/17823

The plugin seems to be installed correctly and is working on new projects with the 'New Repository' feature, but it doesn't work on my existing project repo. The Git context menu shows up but the only command that works is 'git Bash' which opens at the repo root. The pending changes window is also blank. The repo works and has changes visible with 'git status'.

The gitscc.log file is full of this error:

Would it be possible to add Visual Studio Integrated Shell as a supported platform in the VSIX manifest? I have not seen any issues running this add-in in VS IS. My team is looking at using integrated shell for a WiX editor for users that do not have an MSDN/VS license and I would like to have them perform SCM on their build package source code using GIT. To test i manually updated the manifest and installed the VSIX file into VS2010 integrated shell and have not experienced any issues thus far.

Hi,

a great option would be pull and push buttons right in the "Pending Changes" window (for example next to the Commit button). Both would do their action for current branch of course.
