VS crashed while "Amend Last Commit". Git SCP not working anymore!

after i executed the "Amend Last Commit" command in VS 2010 it crashed. Had to kill the process. After restarting VS git SCP is not working anymore. Here's a list of things that are not working. Maybe you can figure out what's wrong

  • It doesn't show changes
  • The current branch is not displayed
  • Clicking the TortoiseGit button shows this message
The parameters '/path' and '/pathfile' are mutually exclusive.
You must only specify one of them.

Looks like the SCP lost the connection to the repository somehow. Already re-installed it. Same issue. Any ideas how to make it work again? Are there logs to see whats going on?

I'm having the same problem, I installed tortoise git and Git Package Control, I was able to use it with a project that already had the Visual Studio Git attached to it, I'm going to try to add it to Visual Studio Git and then run Tortoise and see if it works.

(EDIT) I was able to solve the problem by opening git bash and doing "git init" on the project, hope this helps!
