Git Bash console alternative?

I'm using Git Bash on Console2. Is it possible to start it using the Git Bash icon? Or, more generally, is it possible to customize its action without recompiling the code?

For example, if it just calls the vbs script in the Git folder, I could rewrite it so that it strats my console program..

Hi ulu,

I think you can try visual studio external tool feature. Something like this: http://dannylloyd.blogspot.ca/2011/10/how-to-use-console-2-with-git-in-visual.html

Thanks a lot for the link!

But what exactly happens when you click the Git Bash button?

The Git Bash button launches the bash shell by running:

cmd.exe /c "C:\...\sh.exe" --login -i
